A Busy Summer Buying Plates

Posted by Rustic Plates on

We say this a lot and it's worth repeating, we love license plates and we're grateful to get to travel buying them. We had a busy summer buying plates including two big road trips. Our first trip in early summer took us from Washington State to Michigan with plate buying stops in Idaho, Nebraska, Illinois, and Wisconsin.

Our second trip in late summer was a whirl wind 10 day trip to 14 different states buying several collections. What do we look for? Everything! Older collections are a lot of fun and the more variety the better. We buy rusty plates, vintage plates, porcelain plates, modern, you name it.

License plate collections often have a lot of sentimental value. They can also be overwhelming, especially for families who inherit them. We get it. We love license plates. We see value from rare plates to rusty plates. We strive to be fair, to handle the logistics, and we really enjoy traveling and meeting collectors and their families. Mostly, we take pride in finding plates a new home so they will be enjoyed for generations to come.

To everyone we met this summer and bought plates from, thank you! If you have a collection you are interested in selling, drop us a line. We'd love for you to be a part of our next travel adventure.
